About Dr Westhuizen
Dr Jasper Westhuizen BChD (1990)
Principal Dentist. GDC Reg No. 68662
Dr Westhuizen qualified in 1990 from Pretoria, South Africa after which he worked in the UK within Private and NHS practices for 13 years. He underwent sedation training through SAAD in 1996 and has done more than 3,500 cases up to date. Of those years, 8 were spent taking on referral work for 40 surrounding dentists in oral surgery.
In 2003, he completed a year course in implantology and bone augmentation. The last 18 months have been concentrated on Functional Orthopaedics. He is currently studying the effects of neuro muscular imbalances on the dentition.
Special Interests
Sedation: Understanding and management of pain and fear.
Cosmetics: The art of enhancement of the natural attractiveness of your smile
Implants: Reconstruction and rejuvenating the often debilitating affects of toothloss and dentures.
Head and Neck: Relieving migraines and headaches from pressure buildup and/or painful restricted mouth opening with clicking jaw joints.
Outside of work, Dr Westhuizen enjoys golf, fell walking and perfecting his culinary skills. He also appreciates art and sculpture. |
